Shanna likes meat-inks by bear65 Shanna likes meat-inks by bear65
I really spent my time on making the inks of Shanna well thought out, but I unfortunately rushed just about everything else.... especially the water. Hopefully, if I color this I can fix some of those things, but it's a shame that I rushed the rest. I think I am a bit too eager to work on something new.

Water is too hard to draw....unless you're Michael Turner. Don't worry about it.

haha. aw man. its one of those things, just cuz i dont want to draw it isn't an excuse. like Travis Charest would make it the most beautiful water ever.... so I should try to do the same... but baby steps...

Love the inking on the rocks, though, even if you rushed it, it still works. I think maybe you could eliminate some of the shadow on the left side of her nose? It seems a bit too harsh, that's all. that's really my only crit.

hola UDeen,
Thanks for the compliment. I see from your profile that you are from Spain. Earlier this summer I spent a month in Barcelona, and I loved it. I really wish I could go back to Spain, it is a beautiful country with beautiful people. And also, Adam Hughes is one of my favorite artists too. I have been lucky enough to have had a workshop with him through the art school I went to. He's a really nice and funny man, also. And his work is really quite insane in how good it is. There were about 10 original pieces of art laid out on a table near us and I sat and just stared at it, I think my face was about 2 inches from the paper just looking at all of his lines and marks. So awesome.

Oh my God... I really like Adam Hughes, he's quite a good artist, and it's been an inspiration for me. I'm writting now a story for a comicbook (or something so, story&;pics but not defined yet) and I wish I could do it in a similar style as his. It's a dream for me to do this work, though unfortunately I won't be paid for it... so I'll do it for all the people that's been supporting me. And if I sell it, I may have money enough to study something else on arts hehehe.

By the way, if you want to come to Granada (South of Spain, much better than Barcelona :P), just tell me ;)

Oh yeah, Adam Hughes is my hero, one of them anyways. His work just makes me want to curl up into a little ball and cry, haha. just because I feel so far away from it, but oh well, i'll never stop drawing. Also, you should look at Travis Charest, he's amazing too. so good it makes me sick. haha.

I would love to visit Granada. If it's better than Barcelona then I will be in heaven. I hope to someday just draw comics for American companies and send them by internet from Spain where I will live and enjoy the sunshine and the Spanish land and culture and people. But these dreams might be a little far off, oh well. One day in Barcelona I was sitting on the bus and this comic artist was sketching in the seat right across from me. My friend, who speaks Spanish started talking to him. He said that there wasn't much work in Spain, which is too bad. But I know that France and England have a comic industry of some kind. But again, you can always send work to the US but ugh, I can tell you it's very difficult to get started here as well. So many artists, not so much work to go around.... oh well, just gotta be better than everyone else. haha, easier said than done.

So grey. I think the lack of leveling actually helps this.
