This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The bottom has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
A huge inspiration for me. Thanks. I've been working on getting somewhere with illustration, if you have any tips for someone starting out in the industry i'd love to hear your advice.
Hi Sebastion, So glad to know you're inspired! I think the thing that has helped me a lot was a combination of doing studies from life, from my favorite artists, and then working on my own ideas. I think if you can do that you'll grow a lot. It's sort of like training for a sport, you just have to keep practicing and build up your strengths and work on your weaknesses. For starting out in the industry, I would start out by working on your favorite kind of work. Have fun, do a concentration on a story or theme or idea. Then, when you get some work together, go to conventions, shows, meet people in person whenever you can or if you can't then keep an online presence, like twitter and tumblr. Keep a blog/tumblr, and keep updating with new work. I hope this helps! I certainly don't know the best way to get out there, but from what I've seen with other artists, it starts with doing the work that you love first!
